Late submission policy

I have a policy where students can revise and re-submit for an updated grade.

The issue I have is that I have set up a late submission policy with grade deduction. My policy is to deduct points for the initial late submission but allow resubmissions without any penalties. However, each resubmission has been adding to the student's late submission and getting additional points deducted.

Is there a way to change the setting or work around this setting?

Hi - I believe you can override the days late. If you can determine the number of days the original submission was late (or on time), you can enter that number in the box in Speedgrader or from the Grade Information Tray in the Gradebook. I know it's not perfect and involves some manual adjustments, it should work.
