Link to uploaded files in New RTE not working

I was working with the new rich text editor as I prepare to share with faculty. I noticed when I use the option to upload a file it replaces my text with the file name instead of linking to the text as it did in the previous version of RTE. 

Is this the new desired behavior, and we should be training faculty to upload files first?? 

Or is this a bug that is being fixed?

Hi,  @cwilshus . This is technically intended but perhaps not ideal for everyone. You can still modify the link text after the fact and there is currently an open feature idea for including the previous behaviour at https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/16007-new-rce-add-link-to-new-uploaded-document-to-selected-te....
