Can I link a book from vitalsource to Canvas for my students to use?

Hi  @ttucker ,

I have not used Vitalsource before, are they just standard links (or do they require student authentication).

If it requires student authentication you may still be able to link directly to the book, if you grab the URL, and enter it in a new browser session, does it ask you to log in and take you directly to the resource?

Look forward to hearing from you and a little more about how Vitalsource works.

Cheers,
Stuart

Hello  @ttucker  Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thanks for posting your question.  Like  @stuart_ryan ‌, I too have never used VitalSource.  However, I did noticed that VitalSource does have a third-party LTI integration with Canvas.  Please check out Edu App Center: VitalSource.  Have you had an opportunity to check out this integration?  You may want to speak with a local Canvas administrator at your school to see if they have investigated this LTI integration.  Be aware that some LTI integrations do have a cost associated with them, so you'll want to keep that in mind as you are researching this.  I hope this helps, Tegra.
