Number of Columns Allowed in Grades

Is there a limit to the number of columns allowed in Grades?

There is not a known limit that I am aware of.  The only thing that I have seen, is the more columns that you have, the longer the grade book takes to load.  This is also true with students and columns.  I have seen courses with over 100 grade book columns.
