Option to set assignment submission to both "on paper" and "on line"

In the settings page for assignments, I think it would be great to be able to set an assignment to be submitted on paper OR on line.  I give my students the option to do either.  When it is set to submitting "on line", students who have submitted it on paper see a "missing" assignment flag on their view of the grade sheet.  I then get a lot of questions about this although they submitted it on paper and it is graded.  The grade is correct however they question the "missing".  Can canvas please give us the option to check off both on line and paper submission for the same assignment and avoid the "missing" flag from showing up on students grade sheet?  Thanks!

Hello ckvaska Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thank you for posting your question.  I don't believe this is possible in Canvas.  However, I did find some resources for you to look through:

• Removing Missing and Late Labels [This is a "Canvancement" (Canvas Enhancement) developed by  @James ‌ which you might want to take a look at.]
