Pairing Code

I am trying to set up a parent account.  It will not let me get further than the pairing code to get set up as an observer.  I have been trying to do this for THREE weeks.  I have an account as a teacher, I have also stolen my son's account and installed it as an app.  However, it would be handy to just be a parent.  I have located the pairing code, that's not the issue. The issue is that the pairing codes for the last THREE weeks have not worked.  Does anyone have any idea why that is the case?  I cannot set up an account as an observer because it says the code is incorrect.  I am literally looking at the Pair with Observer code.

Hello, @olangley and welcome to the Community.  What email are you using to log into the parent app?  Make sure this email is different from your teacher email, or your student email.  Canvas will override with the "highest" setting you have when you use the same email.  For instance, I get admin access with my email, so I had to set up another Google email in order to have teacher access.

I am using my personal email.  I did not want it linked to my work one.
