Pros/Cons of Embed Code vs. External App

What are the pros/cons of embedding a link to a tool (such as EdPuzzle) compared to adding EdPuzzle as an external app in the App Center? I've noticed that I can get an embed code from a tool and the tool is also in the Canvas App Center.

Hi Bruce,

I'm not sure about EdPuzzle or any other specific apps you may have looked into, but one benefit of having an assignment configured as an external tool is it potentially has the ability to do what's called grade passback. So students who complete the activity on the external tool would get a score dropped into the grade book automatically.
