I'm a student, and i was submitting a recording for an important conversation test in my spanish class. after i had finished the recorded, i accidentally clicked the back arrow button on my chromebook keyboard and was sent to another page. when i returned to the original page where i was supposed to upload my recording, the recording was gone and now my teacher is telling me there is nothing he can do. Is there any possible way for me to recover this recording? I did not upload is but was wondering if it would be saved i the website's cache or something.

Hi @DevBolagani,
I am pretty certain that Canvas and its recording feature/functionality does not store a "draft" of a recording. Unfortunately, and only if you have permission from your teacher, you will need to record it again.

BTW, this recording was done from the canvas website itself, using its recording feature.
I would contact the Canvas support at your school to see if a draft was saved by chance.. but it not have been.
For future, if you have unlimited submissions, try to submit often as that saves.
Hi @DrTerriC,
Since this is a recording, what you are mentioned would not be possible because the recording cannot be put into a "draft" or "paused" state for unlimited submissions.
