Recovering previous attempt exam files

I am an instructor reveiwing a student's previous exam attempt scores. The student failed their attempt, and we can review the attempt to provide test mentoring prior to their next retake attempt. I briefly saw the exam attempt, question by question, last night. . .and now the exam attempt has been replaced with a "0%" score. Our rules set up in Canvas block students from retaking the exam on their own for at least 30 days, and there was no active test file to schedule on their dashboard. Can I recover the previous exam attempt, question by question? Student did receive an unsolicited email about a 0% test score.

Is this an exam taken as a Canvas quiz?  In Speedgrader, you can view submissions for all of a student's attempts...
