Remove "late" penalty within Canvas Teacher app?

While grading on my tablet, I occasionally need to remove a late penalty that is automatically applied to a student's submission. Sadly, the only place to do that appears to be in the gradebook on the full desktop browser version of Canvas (not in the app).

Could this please be developed in the app so teachers don't have to fiddle around with multiple devices when they want to grade? Thanks!

Note: I know we can view the late penalty and the reduced grade--but it cannot be overridden in the app (see screenshot below).

Yes, such an inconvenience otherwise. Please make this change to the app.

I agree. If a student turns in the assignment a few minutes late - there is no use to me grading on the app - because it will miss grade it.  Using a tablet browser to grade is very difficult and not user-friendly.  

Make the app so teachers can fully grade on the fly.  If we use the late assignments and need to make adjustments - which many of us do - it makes the app useless.

This would be a great addition to the tablet.  I really like the IOS tablet app otherwise.  If we could get the drop down menu at the top of speedgrader with the options then it would make grading so much easier.  right now, I would have to put in the points or use my laptop.

This is still an issue 3 years later. Please consider adding the drop down to remove or change the status like it is in the desktop version. It seems like a no brainer.
