Retaking a quiz

Jump to solution

When a student is asked to re-submit a quiz because they did not attempt a couple of questions they must 'Retake the quiz'. Then the student does only the questions they did not originally attempt and ignores the other questions. Is it possible for the student to merely retake the original quiz and not a brand new one? This would make it clearer when the student checks their gradebook.

Hi  @campbell_oxland ‌ - The short answer is, unfortunately, "no."  This issue has come up from time to time, and there is in fact a Feature Idea that is on the Product Radar (meaning it's coming...we just don't know when) that while worded a bit differently than your question is pretty much what you have in mind:  https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/4709-carry-forward-correct-answers-on-quiz-multiple-attempts .  You can still vote it up, however, as voting is still open.  I might add that most of the effort lately from the Canvas engineers is being devoted to Priority: Quizzes.Next‌ and you can keep an eye on the developments there via this group: Quizzes.Next User Group‌ that anyone can join.
