SCORM Content Won't Dissapears After File Download

I have SCORM content (created in Captivate) which is uploaded to the SCORM area in a Canvas Course and then embedded in content pages with iFrames.
The problem is that if the learner downloads a file on that same page, the SCORM content disappears after the download begins and it will only load again if you refresh the page.
I have tried manipulating different settings for the downloadable files but to no avail. I am starting to think this may require JavaScript to fix, so I decided to come to this forum.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
