Same assignment showing up in two courses?

Hi, 

I have an instructor who is teaching two courses to the same students. She ran into an issue where when fixing one student's grade on the individual view of speedgrader, the assignment shows up in the other course as missing for all the other students. In other words, Student 1 has assignment in Course A, the instructor puts in the assignment for Student 1 in the individual view, but now the assignment shows up in Course B as missing for all other students besides student 1 who now has the grade in the gradebook. Is this because of how she was entering the grades? Or is it some other reason why this is happening?
