Hi
We have had Respondus Lockdown Browser for some years and unfortunately, we have had little success with it providing a consistent experiecne for testing- the biggest issue is that it fails tio display images consistenly for students....some get them ...others don't.
I am wanting to explore other options that are available. Can anyone let me know if they have a differnt setup to deliver quizzes securely??
Also, if anyone is using Repondus to do testing have they had any issues with images not appearing consistently for students???

Hi Greg,
When some students are able to see the images in a quiz with LockDown Browser but others aren't, there are a couple of likely causes:
First, bandwidth problems on the student's part can interfere with images loading, especially if the images are large. This can affect non-LockDown Browser tests too, of course, but it cam be exacerbated by LockDown Browser, especially if the images are large and you're also using Monitor (which can be a big consumer of bandwidth).
Occasionally we've seen file permissions be a problem, especially with quizzes copied from another course, but that's something that usually affects all students trying to take that test.
The other likely cause that's cropped up since the 1-05-2019 update is that the default domain for Canvas file uploads changed (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-16061-canvas-release-notes-2019-01-05#jive_content_id_Domai... ), and this broke many image links for LockDown Browser in many tests created after that. Respondus released a fix in the next Lockdown Browser update, but students using older versions of Lockdown Browser may still see broken images.
