Sending messages to large classes with inbox

Guidance says:

"If your recipient list contains more than 100 users, your message will automatically be sent as individual messages to each user. As the sender, you will also be included in the total recipient count."

Can anyone explain why this is the case?

And is there any way to change it?

The last thing I need is to see 150 identical sent messages in my outbox and deleting 149 of those is a complete pain.

Hi @eimer_tuite - While I don't know the official reason, but I wonder if it has to do with the way replies work in the Canvas Inbox. Unless individual messages are sent to recipients, if one recipient replies to the group message, it acts as a reply all. That could be a lot of unintended replies that go to a lot of people. It's a really good question! I wonder if someone else will be able to offer more insight.
