Spell check is based on the browser you use, and because of the way HTML and HTML5 interact with the browser, not all areas of SpeedGrader will allow proper spell check use. Adding full spell check functionality is an idea that has been submitted before:

Because this link is in Cold Storage, you most likely do not have the ability to view it. Essentially, there are others who feel the same as you.

If you're using Google Chrome, you may be able to highlight certain parts in SpeedGrader, right click, and Google the word to find if it is spelled correctly.

I have recently added an idea that revisits the idea of a spell checker through a partner integration with grammarly.com  If you are still interested in this feature, please come and vote for it: https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/15901-grammarlyedu-integration
