Is there a way to deny student account the ability to change the password?

If you have a CSM, I would start there.  I believe if you are using the internal authentication in Canvas, there is not an easy way to turn off the ability for students to reset a password.  If you are using an external authentication like LDA, CAS or SAML, you can.

Are you using internal Canvas authentication?

Yes, Next year we have decided to issue each students a password that we have generated. I will be exporting that data field from our SIS and importing it into Canvas.

I did speak with our CSM and he informed me that it may be difficult to, but he stated in may be possible to hide that button from the student using CSS. Is there any school district that currently hides the change password feature for students? If so how did you do this and would you share?
