Student access to grading scheme

I think students still cannot see the grading scheme associated with a course, and this is not a best practice for an LMS - students should be provided with the scheme so they can aim for the letter grade they wish to achieve.  The information is there, it only needs to be reprogrammed to show to students.  Please advise on how we can request this functionality.

Because the Grading Scheme can only be accessed through the course Settings page, it is not available for students.

What we have always done, is include our grading schemes in our course syllabi. I also add it to my orientation modules; because, like you, I think students need to have a full understanding of how their grades are calculated.

Hi Kelley, and thanks for your reply - we do not put grading scales in syllabi because of version control.  As an international study abroad program provider with adjunct faculty and syllabi writers around the world, there are too many variables for us to allow for grades scales to live in the document itself.  Since we impose the official grading scheme in Canvas settings already, I wouldn't think it would require much new programming by Instructure to simply have an option for a "read only" display of the scheme to students somewhere in the class or grades page.
