Hi @111664890950382,
If you have tried all of that, you should contact Canvas Support directly because something is happening that none of us would be able to resolve.
After contacting Canvas Support if Canvas Support is not helpful, I would recommend going directly to your Canvas CSM.

Hi @111664890950382,
It looks like you are trying to enter grades from the "Grades" area and not the "SpeedGrader". That is an important distiction because they are different areas.
I came across a previous question from July 2021 and someone posted a comment with how they dealt with it in October 2023. The question is located at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Archived-Questions/ARCHIVED-There-was-a-problem-updating-the-subm... and the specific comment is located at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Archived-Questions/ARCHIVED-There-was-a-problem-updating-the-subm....
For the specific comment, I would recommend reading the "TL;DR" ("To Long, Don't Read") section.
Does that help you?
-Doug
Hi @dbrace
The student discussion assignment is visible on the UI and in the Grades tab, but not in SpeedGrader. Additionally, attempting to add a grade from the Gradebook fails with the error: ‘There was a problem submitting the assignment.’ Please see the attached video for reference.
Hi @111664890950382,
Thank you for the video of this.
Do you follow steps that someone else took (CelestialDawnA, I have intentionally not "tagged" them because I do not want to notify them but their profile is located at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2948676) in the comments of the question at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Archived-Questions/ARCHIVED-There-was-a-problem-updating-the-subm...
They left a long comment with a "TL;DR" ("To Long, Don't Read") section that says:
TL;DR: Change the "Assign To" settings to list one particular student, save the change, then go back and edit the "Assign To" to be set to "Everyone" again. Saving that should reset the issue and bring back the ability to modify their scores.
If that does not work, you will need to report this directly to Canvas Support instead of as a question in the Community.

Hi @111664890950382 -- it's a little hard to help diagnose without being able to poke around and look at the assignment, and other parts of your course. But it can't hurt to try and clear the cache on your browser and make sure your browser is up to date. Hopefully that helps!
