I have always used Respondus 4.0 to upload quiz questions into Canvas using the Publish to Canvas method. As of Wednesday (10/5/16), when I try the same process, even though Respondus gives me a success message, neither quiz nor question bank comes over into Canvas. I have spoken to Respondus on this but they insist that nothing is wrong with their software. I went and published the quiz through Respondus using the IMS QTI personality method where I received a zipped QTI XML file. I was able to successfully import (Import Content into this Course method) the zipped file into Canvas and got the quiz and the Question Bank into the course. Is anyone seeing this issue? The Respondus Publish to Canvas method worked for me as late as middle of September. My Respondus 4.0 program is current.

Bruce I am having the same problem. It always worked fine before. Now it is taking me 4-5 tries to get a quiz into Canvas either from a Respondus-formatted documented or to take them out of Blackboard and publish them in Canvas.
When I look in Respondus the questions are all there and I get a successful publish message. Then when I go into Canvas there is nothing there or sometimes there is an unnamed quiz with zero questions.
It took me 20 tried to get 4 quizzes done and I have 2 quizzes I cannot get published no matter what I do.
How do you export the QTI file and get it to work? I called Canvas support and they are researching it for me; however, between the two of us we could not find where you could do this. I tried Archive wizard but I was not getting QTI files when I exported a test--I was getting a different type. Thanks!!
P.S. I exported a package with just the quizzes from Blackboard and tried importing them into Canvas and that did not work either.
I just tried this and had the same issue. When I tried to publish as a Graded Quiz, it would not show up in the course I published it to. However, when I tried publishing it again as a Question Bank, it showed up just fine in the course's question bank area. This is pretty disturbing, because a LOT of our faculty use Respondus to get their quizzes published to their Canvas courses (and it's Midterm right now!) and I also help a lot of our faculty with publishing their quizzes and question banks into Canvas.
I am going to make a video of what I am experiencing and contacting Canvas Support with this issue. I strongly suggest anyone else having this problem contact Support as well. Strength in numbers.....
UPDATE: I got everything ready to make the video to show Canvas Support what is happening, and now it's working. I can't get it to NOT work. *sigh* So my video and report to Canvas Support is going to have to wait until it decides to mess up again. When I do finally get it reported, I will post my Case # here so anyone else having the issue can reference it.
I tried moving them as question banks instead of graded quizzes and I still was having trouble. I reloaded Respondus just in case to see if it made a difference and it did not. My Respondus upfates were all current as well. I checked everything I could think of.
The problem is it is very sporadic. I tried all different combinations of things to see if I could hit on something to get it to work and no luck so far. I hope the engineers at Canvas can find the issue. Some of my quizzes will not go at all.
Have you submitted a Case to Canvas Support? If so, would you be willing to give the Case # for me to reference when I submit mine to Canvas Support?
The case number I have from Canvas is, "Unable to publish Question Bank or Graded Quiz to Instructure Canvas Course (JJV-655-38729); Case # 01612273 ". The issue is still pending and I am still in contact with the Canvas Engineers towards finding a solution.
This is the alternate method to upload my Respondus Quizzes into Canvas. You essentially have to change the Respondus Personality from Instructure Canvas to QTI, before you go to Preview/Publish.

I am sorry I do not have a case number---I did not get an email yet with it. I moved from Blackboard to Canvas at another university last year and I have now changed jobs so our system is not even live yet and they have not set us up in the support system.

No, no recent updates. It would not work for me earlier his morning, and then started working again. It just seems to be totally random. And very, very irritating.
