Is there a way I can create a button icon using an image to link it to a different page? How do I create it and add it to my home  page?

Hello  @dessie_olson ...

There aren't any tools within the RCE (Rich Content Editor) of Canvas that let you generate graphical buttons "on the fly" to add them to content pages in your course.  You would need to create those buttons either on a website (such as Clickminded's DaButtonFactory) or in an "offline" setting via graphics software on your computer.  Then, you can upload the image to your course and make a link on it to point to any content you wish.  Here are some Guides which may be of help to you:

Once you have inserted your image into your content page, while still editing the page, click and select the image to highlight it, and then use one of these Guides to make a link...depending on what you want to link to:

I hope these resources will be of help to you, Dessie.  Sing out if you have any other questions for Community members...thanks!  Be well, stay safe!
