What are some collaboration tools that can increase student engagement?

Looking for ways to increase student engagement and hoping some collaboration tools can help. If anyone has ideas to share, I would love any feedback.

I love this resource from the Canvas/Instructure Research & Education team.

The second page of the document lists is organized into three categories, highlighting various instructional methods and tools using Canvas to enhance or support Engagement, Participation and Progression. 

Find ideas in the document for using Collaborations, Peer Review, Groups, Discussions and much much more.

I am a big fan of Padlet, and see this list from  @GideonWilliams ‌ with lots of tools, many of which are about students connecting and sharing, and thus a basis for collaboration:
