Do announcements to to the observer? Does the observer have access to Modules? Discussions? Assignment?

• View grades, view assignment due dates and comments, and print grades

Observers cannot

• Comment on announcements or discussions
• Submit assignments or quizzes

If a student is added to a group, can the observer observe the group?

It seems that the answer is no.

SITUATION - we have gone heavy into Calendars. For our elective teachers, they are making groups for small group instruction. They are then putting events onto the Groups calendar to invite the specific students to their mini lesson classes.

PROBLEM - a group has it's own calendar that is separate from the rest of the course (or sections). Observers do not appear to have access to these calendars.
