What is the default for the gradebook - to show Inactive students or hide them?

We may have a lot of Inactive students who withdrew from courses that we need to retain so admins can review their submission dates for compliance purposes, but we want them to show to faculty as little as possible.

Hello Evan,

The default is not to show inactive students in the grade book, but I believe they are shown by default in the People course roister.

Yes, this is what I discovered in my testing as a Faculty.

I also discovered that if you change the setting it seems to be preserved across logins in one course. However, the setting appears to be specific to a course.

I just wanted to add that additional info in case anyone finds this via Google.
