Why are some students' grades shaded pink in Gradebook?

Hello  @wiggins11  this document may be helpful as about half-way down the page there is a description of the default color coding for the grade book, How do I use the icons and colors in the Gradebook?.  Light red is for a missing assignment by default, although these colors can be changed (see How do I change the color for a grading status in the Gradebook?).  Does this make sense based on what you are seeing?
