Will removing a student remove associated records?

I use Canvas for non-term groups that requires students to submit assignments.

If I remove students from the group because they are no longer required to submit, will their already submitted assignment remain in Canvas?

Hello  @dx4685 ‌, that is sort of a trick question.  In terms of viewing, their submission appears gone however, you can add the student back and their submissions will return.  If you want to keep data viewable, I suggest de-activating the user versus removing them.  This locks them out of the class and you can no longer interact with them but everything stays viewable.
