how to hear sound on voiced over powerpoint

Teaching a course an grading voiced over Power point presentations. I see the speaker button on each slide, but cannot figure out how to hear the sound/ "make speaker play".. please advise

Bridget,

You'll need to download and video the Powerpoint file using the Powerpoint application in order of view the audio.  Canvas has a way that lets people view a rendered version of Microsoft office files right in the web browser, but it will not display any media functions.  Look for a download button above the viewed powerpoint file if you think this might be the issue.
