how to upload files?

How do I upload a word file or a powerpoint file from my computer, into my canvas course--i dont know where to start?? Thomas McCormick

Are you asking as a student or a teacher?

Teachers have many ways and places to upload files. I will link to a few of those......

• How do I add assignment types, pages, and files as module items? 
• How do I insert course files into the Rich Content Editor using the Content Selector as an instructo... 
• How do I upload a file to a course? 

If you are investigating this in response to CoVid-19, I would also suggest researching what support and training is being made available to faculty at your school.
