"Screen Capture" isn't a option in Canvas Studio

I am trying to do a voice-over recording over a google slide presentation. The Canvas guides state I need to click on "Record" within in Studio, then select "screen capture" from the drop down menu. However, the only option under record is webcam capture. I have a Screencastify account, can I just record using this application and upload it to Studio?

Will the voiceover present differently than if I did it through the "screen capture" option in Canvas?
