"Students have either already taken or started taking this quiz", but the quiz is unpublished indeed

Hello,

Whenever I try to edit a quiz on Canvas, Canvas says "Students have either already taken or started taking this quiz, so be careful about editing it. If you change any quiz questions in a significant way, you may want to consider regrading students who took the old version of the quiz."

However, the quiz is unpublished, so it's impossible for any student to have taken the quiz. Why would Canvas give me such warning?

look to see if the demo student from student view is the issue.  Were you in student mode or looking at the quiz in preview and answered or clicked on any questions?
