I need to access a video quiz from outside of canvas.
I have the powerpoint and katura recording, how do I export it, save it, link to it from outside of canvas.
Is it possible to embed it into google sites?
My masters project is riding on this functionality
Every download I have the quiz is not present in the video.
ASAP help please

Hi @giardipa,
I am pretty confident, but not 100% certain, that you won't be able to download the video with a quiz included, which you have already found. If you are actually using Canvas Studio, the How do I get a public link or embed code for media... - Instructure Community - 1712 guide will show you how to generate a public link or embed code that you could place elsewhere. I'm not quite sure how the quiz will work in that scenario though as when you embed for the public, users aren't logged in. You could certainly give it a try.
Hope this helps!

Hi @giardipa,
Just for complete clarity, are you sure you're using a Canvas Studio Video Quiz? I ask because you mention Kaltura as well, which is a competing product (but does also integrate into Canvas). Either way, I'm not sure you'll be able to get a download of the video with quiz questions, as that requires back-end functionality to work. I know with Kaltura you could embed the video quiz in other places if your school/institution settings allow it, but I'm not as familiar with Canvas Studio to know if a similar option would be available there.
We look forward to hearing back from you!

Thanks for answering. I have actually uploaded as a kaltura recording and as a media file. Either way, once I add a quiz, I cannot resave/download/export or get a link to the video with quiz. I only get the video.
Are you saying there is no way to access a canvas media video quiz outside of canvas? 😕

Thank you for your quick response. I've tried this and it will only link or embed the presentation without the embedded quiz questions. So very disappointing that I've spent all this time creating interactive lectures with embedded quiz that I cannot share in my portfolio. I am going to try google docs (POS IMHO) or find something else. If there are any Instructional Designers that know of a tool -all input would be welcome.
