[ARCHIVED] No Sound in imported Videos

I've seen this type of question but haven't read any answers to the problem. I have been using Canvas Studio, but if I ever want to edit a video I've made and insert a video I have on my mac, a short 30 second quicktime video - there is Never sound. I've done this over and over again with the same result. Like others, the video works on my actual computer but once inserted, Canvas turns off the sound. To help with this, I've had to take all videos that have an imported video section to Imovie which counteracts the reason why we have Studio. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
