Assigning assignments to individual students

We recently discovered that when a teacher assigns an assignment to a couple of students,  it appears in the student's calendar with the # of students who were assigned to the assignment.  Is there a way to turn that off, so students don't know that they are getting a differentiated student.  

Additionally, it would be helpful if when a teacher assigns to only some students that they could potentially select all students and then unselect those who will be getting a separate assignment so the teacher doesn't have to manually select 28 students for the main assignment.

Hey, @dsauthoff. Great find. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I honestly have no idea how we've not heard about this before, but completely agree that students should not see this information for differentiated assignments. We have created a ticket for our engineering team to update these calendar titles to remove the additional information beyond the assignment name.
