Show Canvas-enrolled Courses on Dashboard

A new setting for the root catalog has been added to allow Catalog Administrators to choose to display or hide courses enrolled in outside of Catalog on the student’s catalog dashboard. When enabled, courses enrolled in outside of Catalog will display on the dashboard. When disabled, only courses enrolled in through Catalog will display on the dashboard. This setting is enabled by default.

Comments

So I read and re-read this a few times. What does this mean? Enrolled outside of Catalog... does this mean that if a student is enrolled in another Canvas instance those courses will show up on the student's Catalog Canvas instance dashboard? I'm so confuzzled...

When this feature is turned off at the root of Catalog then students will only see their Canvas Catalog enrolled courses in their Student Dashboard. If this is left on then the student will see everything in Canvas and Canvas Catalog.
