Elevate Data Quality 5.5 Recommended Server Configuration
This document describes the recommended server configuration required to operate Elevate Data Quality 5.5 Enterprise Edition. You may use this document as a planning guide for existing servers or as a purchase guide when acquiring new hardware.
Recommended Configuration
The recommended configuration for Elevate Data Quality is comprised of a total of three servers: two servers for the Elevate Data Quality application ‐ a Development server and a Production server ‐ and one database server, using either physical or virtual servers.
Recommended Application Server
The following is the recommended specification for the two Elevate Data Quality application servers:
- Dedicated Server Class Machine (e.g., HP Proliant 57X class Rack or Server) with Quad CPU – Xeon class processors (3.6 Ghz or higher)
- 16 GB Memory
- Hard Drive – minimum 80 GB
- Dual Power Supply
Application Server Configuration
The following software is required on the Elevate Data Quality application server:
- Windows Server 2012
- SQL Server Management Studio (just the tools, not the RDBMS)
Recommended Database Server
The following is the recommended specification for a database server, which will house Elevate Data Quality’s databases:
- Dedicated Server Class Machine (e.g., HP Proliant 57X class Rack or Server) with Dual or Quad CPU – Xeon class processors (3.6 Ghz or higher)
- 16 GB Memory
- Hard Drive – minimum 250 GB (preferably RAID 3 + 1 hot spare) with Dual Power Supply
Note: A larger amount of hard drive disk space may be required on the database server depending on the volume of data being certified by Elevate Data Quality, the frequency of certification and the number of certification rules. Please consult Instructure to discuss this point further if that situation is contemplated.
Database Server Configuration
The following software is required on the database server which houses Elevate Data Quality’s databases:
- Windows Server 2012
- SQL Server 2012, 2014 or 2016
- SQL Server Management Studio
Web Browser
The following web browsers are supported for all users for Elevate Data Quality:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 –11
- Mozilla Firefox 4 – 38
- Apple Safari 5.0 – 5.1.7
- Google Chrome 10 – 41
