Incorrect links

Hi there, I was advised to post to this forum when I found incorrect URLs in canvas sites. On this page the link to 'Learn how to follow places in the community' gives me an Access Denied error message. Is this the correct procedure for getting your links updated?

Thank you @cromijn. The second link that I have not been able to locate is this one: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/SIS-Integration/tkb-p/sis_integration. I keep getting the following message, despite clearing my cookies quite regularly.

Hi Kirsten,

That link formatting does not look like a redirect from the old community.  Can you tell us what content it used to go to?  Was it something in https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/SIS/gh-p/sis ?

Replying to your original message, when I follow the link to the All About the Release Notes page that you linked to, I can't find the link to 'Learn how to follow places in the community' listed anywhere.  Could you tell me where to look on the page?  I do find "Learn how to subscribe to Community content" which links to https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/help/faqpage/title/subscriptions. Is this what you were looking for?

Hi Scott, quite possibly. I think I raised that back in September and had given up. My memory is failing me on this one. Thanks for the response though.

Hi Scott, I have only been trying to access this link below (see grab) since the Community was moved back in August I think. And ever since then I have never been able to access the link so not sure what it used to contain. Perhaps if I talk about what I am trying to achieve it will bring it into perspective. My current role is to ensure that my institution is prepared for any updates, features or changes before they arrive in production and potentially change the way we work. I want to see what is planned. I'm not sure that this link is the right for that function. It appears to be more Q&A from the Community.  Thanks again for the response. Appreciated.

@kirsten_ryall I wanted to follow up again here with some more information. This SIS Integration Releases page had an issue on the backend of our Community software that we've now resolved. However, that particular space is very new and doesn't have any new content (that link you showed here will work now but it's just a blank page). If you want to get updates on all release notes, you have a few options.

First, you can talk to your institution's Instructure CSM (if you don't know who it is, your school's Canvas admin should have that contact info) to get on the email lists for the various release notes. These are sent at the same time that release notes are published here in the Community.

Second, on this page: Releases - Canvas Community (for Canvas release notes, you can follow these directions for any other products you'd like to follow), click the 3 dot icon in the top right and then click Subscribe. Then make sure you have email notifications turned on for "New topics or articles posted in boards I subscribe to" (and make sure you have email notifications turned on globally). You can check those settings on this page: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-subscriptions:notification-settings. Let me know if that helps or if you have any other questions.
