How do I comment on ideas and themes?

Community members can comment on themes that are in the Open for Voting, Prioritized, and In Development statuses. Comments are not available for themes in other statuses.

Community members can only comment on ideas they submitted. Community members cannot comment on member-submitted ideas that were submitted by other Community members.

Comment on an Open for Voting Theme

Comment on an Open for Voting Theme

To comment on a theme in the Open for Voting status, navigate to the theme you want to comment on in the Instructure Community. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the comment box.

Type your comment in the Comment text area [1]. To post your comment, click the Post Your Comment button [2].

Note: While a theme is in the Open for Voting status, comments are generally used for clarifying questions about the theme and basic exploration for our product teams.

Comment on a Prioritized Theme

You can comment on themes in the Prioritized status at any time. To comment on a Prioritized theme discussion, click the Reply button.

Type your comment in the Comment text area [1]. To post your reply, click the Reply button [2].

To comment on a theme that is In Development, navigate to the theme you want to comment on in the Instructure Community and click the Comment button.

Reply to a Comment Thread on a Prioritized Theme

To reply to a comment on a prioritized theme, find the comment you want to reply to. Click the Reply button.

To comment on an idea, you must be the original author of the idea. At the bottom of the idea body, click the Comment button.
