Developing LTI Tool that works well and looks good in Canvas phone app

Generally speaking, is there documentation for optimizing or implementing LTI tools that also look good in the Canvas student app? Perhaps some best practices? What about developer tools for debugging?

More specifically, is there a way to set the zoom of an LTI page in the Canvas student app?

My LTI tool is well designed and responsive. In the browser it adapts well to a smaller screen and remains very usable.

BUT..., in the canvas app everything is shrunk down and tiny as if it were a 800px wide screen zoomed way out to fit the small screen.

I thought I'd follow up on this,

It is working fine now, either they improved the app, or we changed something in our code that makes this work. Either way, it looks great now.
