Is there a way to have a module have separate start dates based on the new tags as well as the course at large? We are attempting to allow specific groups into modules early via the tags (which works great for assignments) but for the module start dates it only allows for the singular start date across all options. If not, I would highly suggest implementing this feature for more granularity in module access.
For example, I want module 4 to start on August 10th for the entire class. I would like to also allow a group of tagged students to have early access to module 4 on August 1st. The way that the system is setup now currently there is no way to do this cleanly with the tag system.
Having that option would be extremely valuable at my institution also! If it could be done with tags or with sections, too, being able to open modules at different dates for different "groups" of students would be super helpful.
That's a great suggestion, the module Assign To interface doesn't look the same compared to the other Assign To screens for assignments, quizzes, etc. This would be very helpful.
A workaround would be to create the module again and assign it but that's much more work for something that can be updated.
I didn't realize the module assign-to doesn't have the from/until fields.
You could still obtain the same functionality by setting the from/until and assign-to via tag/everyone else on each individual item inside the module?
Though being able to set this at the module level would be much much easier and also would include the headers and things without due dates.
