Delete account

I am trying to delete my account so my district can create one for me. I only recently created it and I have no classes. It's literally an empty account. How can I delete it?

Hi @JamieLockovich ,

It sounds like you're using free for teacher. Free for Teacher is not associated with any school, so if you're district is trying to create an account for you under their own Canvas environment (domain), they shouldn't have any issues doing so since they're two completely different servers.

Since you're using free for teacher, I can forward your request for an account deletion to the team that manages FFT accounts, if you'd like.

You are not able to delete your own account, as this requires account admin permissions. Since it sounds like your school pays for their own canvas environment, it would be best to reach out to your school's canvas admin for assistance in deleting your account.

This is an account I created on my own. It is not through the school. They can't delete it for me.

Hi! I created a canvas account, (this one i can close) and another where it has courses, i believe its for classes, I created it myself, and I am not able to delete it. I looked at the help from how to delete my account and it says I need to go to "privacy" but that website doesn't have a "privacy." section.

Are you attempting to delete a free for teacher Canvas account, or your Canvas Community account? Hi! I followed the blog post, but i can't get past the creating a random course step. I still don't see "report a problem"

For some reason it's giving me a hard time to load your image. No problem though! And sometimes it can take a hot minute for the report a problem link to appear... sometimes up to 24 hours unfortunately.

I can go ahead and get this requested forwarded for you, however before I do, I just want to confirm that you don't need anything on the account still, right?
