Can there be an 'easy button' to this?

I like the suggestion of there being a few predefined or default filters.  For example, Module names. Or perhaps better yet, a filter for Ungraded Assignments. 

But couldn't there be a button on the top level which will function to show only the assignments (columns) and students (rows) that have ungraded assignment submissions?  That would make it super easy for instructors.

I 100% agree with this... Trying to find those 3 or 4 students who submitted out of 200 when you have crosslisted your classes is real hassle. Also, the little circle icon next to an ungraded submission should be changed to something more prominent such as the whole student name box having a highlighted color.  There are a lot of inefficiencies in the Canvas interface.

I think the ungraded assignments is a great filter idea that many teachers would be benefit from. 🙂

Bit late getting to this as we have only recently enabled this.

My first thoughts were this would be great, a saved preset filter of

• an assignment group
• of ungraded submissions

would be great for teachers when marking work. However, it doesn't work the way of what my interpretation of it was, as when you apply a filter like the one above it still displays graded submissions. This from what i have been told is that it doesn't filter out rows, but columns only
