Split student first name/last name in enhanced gradebook filter?

In testing out the enhanced gradebook filters, it seems that a recent release in the non-enhanced version was lost - is it possible to split student names by first and last when enhanced gradebook filter is enabled? I didn't see how to do it. This function sits in the "View" button in the non-enhanced gradebook.

Along those lines, it would be nice to have the ability to sort by first name when the names are split. Currently, in non-enhanced gradebook filters, you can split by first/last, but you can't take any actions on the first name column when it is split.

Well, to reply to myself, I just found the split student names function, but it's now in the gradebook settings > View Options area, which is less intuitive to me. Still, glad to know it's still there.
