Accessibility on Canvas for students with disabilities

We are in the process of our first hybrid course semester and there are many students with disabilities that are feeling very anxious. I'm wondering, fellow Accessibility Advisors or Disability Services Coordinators if there are any tried and true methods, problems you've run into, or experience.

Hi Meg,

I don't work directly with Accessibility or Disability Services, but I do work with Quality Matters, which has Accessibility and Usability as one its standards. We're just starting to use Canvas this semester, but I've found that Canvas has a tremendous amount of tools available. One article you might want to look at is: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-2061-accessibility-within-canvas . Also, if you haven't checked it out yet, look at UDOIT Information. This is an accessibility checker that was created with a grant from Instructure.
