We are experiencing issues with students using Safari 9 trying to submit to turnitin assignments. Is there an issue with using Safari with the Canvas turnitin LTI? We know that Chrome is the recommended browser.

Yes, there is an issue on the Turnitin side with Safari. Complete details can be found on the Turnitin Known Issues site. The Turnitin recommendation is:
To resolve the issue, please follow the steps below.
1. Click on the "Safari" menu and select "Preferences."
2. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
3. Set "Block Cookies and other website data" to "Never"
We have been recommending that students use Chrome for Canvas for this reason.
