Add option to select section in which to create groups
Currently, there is an option to automatically create groups and "require group members to be in the same section".
However, when several sections are created in the unit site (including different tutorial groups, location, different specialisations/degree, etc.), this potentially excellelent feature does not do what it should. Instead, small groups of one to three students are created because only these student exist across all sections together.
Please include the option for a user to select the section in which they want groups created.
This would solve a number of problems with group creation at the moment, especially where these need to be created for workforce planning and instructor-student communication.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
