All Courses Past Enrollment List Viewing If Course Viewing was Restricted by Instructor

When a faculty member selects “restrict student view after course end” in the settings of a course site, the student can no longer see the course in their past enrollment list from "All Courses" view. When faculty click that box in settings, the course disappears from a student’s past enrollment list.

We would like to see the course appear in their past enrollments even though there would be no link to access the course.

I agree that this would be useful.  Instructors are often not aware of the full impact when they check that option.  Having the course completely disappear, in a way that doesn't happen even for courses that were never actually published or used, is extremely confusing for students.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
