Arrange gradebook columns by CURRENT date

There is currently a way to arrange the gradebook columns by oldest and newest due date, but it would be much more convenient (especially for large classes) to arrange the gradebook by the current assignment date (today) rather than having to scroll to the right. 

I'd like to be able open the gradebook and see today's assignments due in the first column. Then have the columns continue in chronological order with the past-due assignments all the way to the right.
