Assignment dates from outside homework assignments

In my Operations Analysis Canvas course I use a program called CNowV2 for homework (through Cengage).  CNowV2 can be linked to Canvas and transfer graded homework assignments automatically to the Canvas Gradebook when the systems are synced.  Why not also include the assignment dates, not just the scores/grades.  In this way, assignment dates could be set in CNowV2 and automatically be brought over to the Canvas site.  

I have the same idea for my Canvas Statistics course.  There I use MyStatLab from Pearson.  Homework scores are brought over automatically, why not assignment dates?

Thanks for sharing these ideas. The functionality you've described would need to be developed by the third party companies building the Canvas integrations: in this case, CNowV2 and Pearson's MyStatLab. Please ask your school's Canvas admin to investigate these possibilities on your behalf.
