Availability Dates in Canvas Student App

While working in a browser, students can see the availability dates for an assignment, including the "Until" date. In Canvas Student, that information isn't visible. It would be very helpful to have it included with the other assignment information to help students better manage their time, especially those who rely on a mobile device or tablet to complete their learning activities.

On a desktop browser, you are able to view how long an assignment is available for. It shows the start date and the final date it’s available before the assignment is closed. This is separate from the due date. This information is not shown on the Canvas iOS application and I think it would be useful to add.

We are 1:1 ipad district and this would be very beneficial to our students within the iOS app to view the availability dates.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
