Canvas for Elementary: Announcement View Control Request

In Canvas for Elementary, would it be possible to either have more control over the "Recent" Announcements View so that teachers can disable the most recent one showing on the class homepage or have the most recent one get truncated with an expand icon if longer than a certain amount. Depending on the length, it covers the majority of the homepage.

I agree!  We, C4E users, would also like to have an option to "close" an announcement that is no longer relevant, instead of having to wait two weeks. At the moment, it seems the only option is to delete the announcement but teachers would like to keep their announcements for future reference or use.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
